”The children and adults thoroughly enjoyed the show. It’s the best entertainment we’ve ever had here.” – Annette Emms, Library assistant, Broadway Library, Worcestershire.

Morris & the Moonworm was originally called One Small Step and came about as a natural progression of Sea Legs’ first show, The Biggest Fish Ever. We figured we had this ten-foot tall lighthouse. What else could it be? A block of flats! The Eiffel Tower!……….. A Space Rocket!!!!

If musicians have the difficult second album this was for us, the difficult second show.  We had lots of ideas but were struggling to bring them all together. Eventually this led to bringing in a third writer – James Clarke. It was James who came up with the name, Professor Crookheart for the baddy. Eventually a first draft was produced – at last something we could work with. This meant that I could start making the puppets and hiring people to help with the multitude of other jobs. So by Summer 2002 it had come together and was first performed Morris & the Moonworm at Mordiford School, Herefordshire on July 17th 2002.
